ICAO 209 HUMAN FACTORS IN ATS

Prerequisites

  • Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5.5 or above in
    order to satisfy the requirements of ICAO English Level 4.

Synopsis

  • This workshop provides a participant with an understanding of
    the concept of human factors in air traffic services (ATS) and the
    corresponding training requirements to meet the licensing standards
    set by the ICAO Annex 1 (Personnel Licensing). It also focuses on the
    disciplines of human factors, their applications and ways to improve
    human performance in ATS.

Objective

  • On completion of this course the participant will have an understanding
    of Human Factors in ATS, including Threat and Error Management and
    Team Resource Management principles, to achieve a consistent level of
    safety in aviation operations in accordance with ICAO Doc. 9683.

Assessment

  • The course includes verbal questioning and a written test to check for
    understanding of the material.
