ICAO 209 HUMAN FACTORS IN ATS
Prerequisites
- Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5.5 or above in
order to satisfy the requirements of ICAO English Level 4.
Synopsis
This workshop provides a participant with an understanding of
the concept of human factors in air traffic services (ATS) and the
corresponding training requirements to meet the licensing standards
set by the ICAO Annex 1 (Personnel Licensing). It also focuses on the
disciplines of human factors, their applications and ways to improve
human performance in ATS.
Objective
On completion of this course the participant will have an understanding
of Human Factors in ATS, including Threat and Error Management and
Team Resource Management principles, to achieve a consistent level of
safety in aviation operations in accordance with ICAO Doc. 9683.
Assessment
The course includes verbal questioning and a written test to check for
understanding of the material.
