ICAO 052 AERODROME CONTROL

Prerequisites

  • • Hold a General Secondary Certificate or equivalent foreign certificate
    with a pass result of not less than 70%.
    • Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5.5 or above in
    order to satisfy the requirements of ICAO English Language Level 4; and
    • Hold an approved ICAO 051 ATC Assistant/Basic Induction course
    certificate.
    • Hold a medical certificate as prescribed by the authority regulation in
    the State of licence issue.

Synopsis

  • The ICAO 052 Aerodrome Control course comprises theory sessions
    and practical simulation exercises in which the participant will learn and
    demonstrate knowledge of ATC practices and procedures to the required
    standard for the purpose of commencing field training at an Aerodrome
    Control Tower.

Objective

  • On completion of this course the participant will have the required
    knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) to commence on-the-job training
    as an Aerodrome Controller for ICAO licensing purposes
