ICAO 209 HUMAN FACTORS IN ATS - REFRESHER
Prerequisites
- Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5 or above in order to satisfy the requirements of ICAO English language Level 4.
Synopsis
This workshop provides a participant with an understanding of the concept of human factors in air traffic services (ATS) and the corresponding training requirements to meet the licensing standards set by the ICAO Annex 1 (Personnel Licensing). It also focuses on the disciplines of human factors, their applications and ways to improve human performance in ATS.
Objective
On completion of this course the participant will have the required knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) necessary to commence on-the- job training in an Area Control unit for ICAO licensing purposes
Assessment
The course includes written examinations to assess learning and practical assessments to assess competence in each unit. Each examination/ assessment is conducted in a controlled environment. Participants are permitted one supplementary examination/assessment (re-sit) per module
