ICAO 219 ON-THE-JOB TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (OJTI)
Prerequisites
- Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5.5 or above in
order satisfy the requirements of ICAO English Level 4.
- Hold an ATC licence with a rating and minimum of six months experience in the relevant OJTI position.

Synopsis
The OJTI course is designed for licensed ATCOs appointed in the role of Training Officer in an operational environment. The course will equip the participant with a basic knowledge of planning and conducting training sessions and practical methods to manage the interaction with the trainee during on-the-job training
Objective
On completion of this course the participant will have an understanding of current adult learning principles and training techniques in order to perform the role on Training Officer in an operational environment
Assessment
The course includes verbal questioning to check for understanding of the theory and practical role-play scenarios to assess competence as a trainer.
