BASIC AERONAUTICAL KNOWLEDGE

Prerequisites

  • Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 4.0 or above in
    order to undertake the training delivered in English.

Synopsis

  • The Basic Aeronautical Knowledge course comprises aviation related
    subjects designed to prepare the participant for further training in the
    aviation industry. Subjects include: aircraft operations, principles of flight,
    navigation, meteorology, aircraft performance and recognition, aviation
    law, air traffic control and human factors

Objective

  • On completion of this course the participant will have a general knowledge
    of aircraft operations, air traffic control roles and responsibilities,
    aerodromes and ground aids, meteorology, navigation, aviation law and
    human factors principles as a foundation for further aviation studies

Assessment

  • The course includes written tests to assess learning in each unit.
