AERODROME FLIGHT INFORMATION SERVICE OFFICER (RFR)
Prerequisites
- Demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5.5 or above in
order to satisfy the requirements of ICAO English Level 4., in order to undertake the training delivered in English.
Minimum of 12 months operational experience as an AFIS Officer in a field location.
Synopsis
The Aerodrome Flight Information Service Officer refresher course comprises theory sessions and practical exercises in which the participant will refresh and update their knowledge of AFIS practices and procedures in order to continue operational duties at an AFIS aerodrome
Objective
On completion of this course the student will have the required knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) necessary to be awarded an Aerodrome Flight Information Service Officer Refresher Certificate and continue to perform operational duties as an AFISO
Assessment
The course includes written examinations to assess learning and practical assessments to assess competence in each unit. Each examination/ assessment is conducted in a controlled environment. Participants are permitted one supplementary examination/assessment (re-sit) per module.
