ICAO 054T RADAR CONTROL (APPROACH)

Objective


To provide students with the theory, principles and practice of approach control (radar) in excess of the minimum ICAO standards and recommended practices and prepare them for validation training at an approach control (radar) unit.

Course Pre-requisites

 

  • hold a General Secondary Certificate or equivalent foreign certificate with a pass result of not less than 70%; and
  • demonstrate fluency in the English language to IELTS 5.5 or above in order to satisfy the requirements of ICAO English Language Level 4; and
  • hold an approved ICAO 051 ATC Assistant/Basic Induction course certificate; and
  • hold a second class (2) medical certificate as prescribed by the authority regulation

Practical Simulation

 

  • 32 hours of simulation per student will be provided during the course including assessments and final examination.
