About The College

Oman Aircraft Control College was established in November 2000 as a joint venture between BAE Systems and the Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Defence.


The college was conceived as a regional centre of excellence for aviation training and was the first Partnership for Development project in Oman.


We have adopted the world-class systems approach to training to give our students the best possible chance to successfully complete their chosen course. Our civil courses meet the rigorous standards set by International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and are approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Regulation (DGCAR). Our military courses are approved by the Royal Air Force of Oman.

COLLEGE OVERVIEW

Oman Aircraft Control College is a joint civil and military air traffic control training college located in Muscat, Oman. Housed in a purpose-built facility at Muscat International Airport, the college provides a structured and supportive learning environment enabling students to focus fully on developing their skills to the highest standard.


The college provides air traffic control, air defence and ancillary training at all levels including:

COLLEGE STRUCTURE

General Manager

The College General Manager is Said Al_Kiymi, Air Traffic Controller for 22 years, CAO 211/212 Certificates in Training and Assessment, ATC Instructor ( OJTI) for 19 years with endorsements in Area, Approach and Tower, ATC examiner for 8 years with endorsements in Area, Approach and Tower, Paca ANS Chief of Training for 4 years

College Principal

The Principal Assistant is Aqd Rukn Jaw (wing Commander) Nasser bin Mohammed Al Shukaili a serving member of the Royal Air Force of Oman with 28 years of experience in the field of Military ATC as qualified Military ATC and Air defense Instructor.

College Principal Assistant

The Principal Assistant is Mqm Rukn Jaw (wing Commander) Zahran bin Saleem AL Fahdi a serving member of the Royal Air Force of Oman with 25 years of experience in the field of Military ATC as qualified Military ATC and Air defense Instructor.

Civil Instructors

Our civil instructors are selected from world class ANSPs including Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom to ensure that the instruction delivered in the College is of the highest standard.

Military Instructors

Our military instructors are qualified and experienced air traffic control and Weapons Controllers.
